It has been a busy year for the civil engineering team in Primary Power. From the variety of work the team are undertaking, to its wider integration with departments across the organisation, it has been an exciting year full of key achievements and growth.

Another key milestone has emerged with the appointment of Razvan Cristofan as Senior CAD Design Technician; a new role for the company. An experienced Architectural Technician, Razvan possesses a wealth of CAD knowledge and a deep understanding of the wider utilities industry.

Prior to joining Primary Power, Razvan worked at Freedom as Senior BIM Technician amongst other roles, after achieving a bachelor’s Economic Science degree in Business Administration and Management General.

To find out more about this exciting new hire, hear from Razvan about his role and what he hopes to achieve in the year ahead:

“I was drawn to the role at Primary Power because it includes many of the aspects I enjoy most, from producing detailed drawings to bringing a fresh perspective to projects.

“It is important in my job to embrace accuracy, be open to change and willing to implement new ways of working. This ethos aligned with the vacancy at Primary Power and as such, felt like the right fit for me.”

Razvan reflects on the working culture at Primary Power:

“There is a very relaxed environment within Primary Power, with a knowledgeable and experienced team at its core. Supported learning is key here, and I intend to achieve my EngTech (Engineering Technician) in the near future, further benefiting my own career growth and the wider company.”

Working in a role such as Razvan’s requires a range of skills, as he explains:

“Part of my role and something that I really enjoy, is designing and drafting drawings. It’s all about finding a logical way to deal with them. It is also important to share this knowledge internally, working closely with your team to solve challenges for our clients.”

Mark Lowe, Civil Engineering Manager, is Razvan’s colleague within the civil engineering team and joined the business a year ago, which you can read more about here. Mark shares his thoughts on what Razvan’s appointment means for Primary Power:

“Adding Razvan to the team further highlights Primary Power’s commitment to the expansion of the team and growth. His extensive knowledge of advanced CAD and 3D modelling will enable the team and the wider company to reach new heights. Looking ahead, we look forward to growing the team and getting stuck into a variety of projects.”
