To reflect on this, we spoke to Steve Crawford, Managing Director at Primary Power, on the key highlights from this year and what the team hope to achieve next year:   

“2025 has truly been a year of growth and success for Primary Power. As we approach the end of the year, it is naturally a time to reflect on the year and analyse what worked and unpick the lessons that we can learn from, to help us set out what we hope to achieve in 2026.” 

Building the Primary Power brand  

“We started out the year by refreshing our brand and launching a new website, to tie in with reaching our five-year milestone. This time felt like the right moment to create a new identity that reflected who are and what we do in 2025. This was a highly collaborative process that involved team members from across the business, with the result being something that we are proud of. 

“We also opened a fully branded new office in Cheadle, Staffordshire. This was a key objective for us, to create a space where our remote team members could get together and collaborate in person. This has been a key highlight for us this year and we look forward to continuing to offer our people the opportunity to work remotely and in person in 2026 and beyond.” 

Expanding internal capabilities 

“People truly are at the heart of Primary Power. We are proud to have a team with deep industry knowledge and technical expertise. To nurture and support this, a key objective for us is to ensure that our people feel supported and we achieve this through investing in further training. “We made several key hires across the team this year. David Sillito joined us as Head of Operations, Mark Lowe as Civil Engineering Manager, Alastair Teasdale as Senior Civil Engineer, Liam Lomax as Project Manager and Sharon Incert as EHV Cable Project Manager. “Through a combination of new hires and providing training opportunities, we are further expanding our capabilities in key sectors such as the electrical power and energy industries. These sectors are a very exciting arena to work in, and we look forward to continuing our work here in the new year.”  

Getting out and about across the UK  

“This year, we have had the opportunity to get together as a team at venues across the UK, including at and beyond our Cheadle office. We find this to be of vital importance to our interpersonal relationships and collaborative working across the business.  

“In a post pandemic world, the way in which we work has truly changed however we find that in-person team days are truly valuable to building a personable, friendly working environment and look forward to scheduling more sessions next year. 

“We also had the chance to attend various events this year, for example Solar and Storage Live in Newcastle. It is valuable to attend industry events to see what others are doing and discover the key trends or emerging themes from across the industries we operate in. If you are attending any similar events to the Primary Power team next year, we look forward to seeing you then.”  

Looking ahead to 2026 

“We thank every single person we have worked with and our team members, who have played such an integral role in this success. Without your hard work and support, we wouldn’t be where we are today; we look forward to seeing what we can achieve in 2026 and beyond. The Primary Power team wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
